AlloyScan 26.3 Update: Smarter Data & Stronger Security

Stay ahead of printer supply shortages, expand software inventory coverage, and maintain more accurate inventory records.

Table of contents

Today, we rolled out a new AlloyScan update that brings practical improvements in inventory accuracy and visibility, helping IT teams stay ahead of potential issues. Read on to see what’s new.

What’s new

  • Printer supply alerts. Monitor toner, drums, maintenance kits, waste toner containers, and other printer consumables with configurable threshold-based notifications. Get alerted before supplies run low and help reduce unexpected printer downtime.
  • Custom software recognition. Extend software inventory coverage by creating custom PowerShell-based recognition rules for proprietary, portable, and other applications that standard discovery methods may not detect.
  • Improved Windows device identification. Prevent inventory records from being merged when Windows devices share non-unique BIOS UUIDs.

AlloyScan 26.4 also delivers faster data refresh, improved audit reliability, and multiple stability, resiliency, and performance improvements.
