Alloy Software Launches Alloy Discovery Enterprise 8
New version of integrated Network Discovery and Inventory solution includes Google Chromebooks integration, improved software recognition, data filtering, and much more.
Bloomfield, NJ – January 22nd 2018 – Alloy Software, a leading provider of Service Management, Asset Management and Network Inventory solutions, is proud to announce the release of Alloy Discovery Enterprise 8. This leading Network Discovery and Inventory solution offers several new features and improvements based on direct feedback from consumers including:
Track your Chromebooks
Alloy Discovery Enterprise 8 leverages Google API to extract Chromebook data and incorporate it throughout Alloy Navigator’s workflow. Now you can collect and report on inventory data, and perform system management tasks on Chrome devices. This integration provides you with a conveniently consolidated view of your entire Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebook computers, as well as mobile and other networked devices providing even more comprehensive asset management capabilities.
Improved Software Recognition
Alloy Discovery 8 adds new tools to its Software Recognition arsenal. Now you can create software recognition rules based on custom Registry keys. This will help detect some tricky software or differentiate software editions, such as Standard vs. Pro.
Now Alloy Discovery distinguishes products running on different platforms but having the same identification information, including Product Name, Version, and Publisher, such as Adobe Acrobat for Windows and for Mac.
In addition, software recognition rules now can be applied on the fly. Your changes will affect not only future software scans, but also previously detected software installations. With this immediate feedback, it is must faster and easier to fine tune recognition rules to fit your needs.
Scheduled Task Analysis
Now Alloy Discovery is able to inventory scheduled tasks on managed client machines.
Improved Data Filtering
Analyzing your inventory data with Advanced Filters is now easier that ever. The Filter Builder’s user interface has been completely redesigned to provide a more intuitive and streamlined user-friendly experience, and now supports drag-and-drop.
Availability
Alloy Discovery Enterprise 8 is immediately available for evaluation and purchase. Customers with a current Software Maintenance & Support plan should contact our sales team for assistance with the upgrade.
