Alloy Discovery Enterprise 7.2 Released
Alloy Software is proud to announce the immediate availability of Alloy Discovery Enterprise version 7.2. This minor upgrade offers numerous new features and improvements based on direct feedback from our customers. Here is a list of some of the changes in the new release:
Microsoft Exchange Integration
Administrative alerts in Alloy Discovery 7.2 now support Microsoft Exchange Server, in addition to SMTP.
Software Vendors
In order to streamline the management of software licensing information version 7.2 adds the concept of Software Vendors. This enables you to specify not only who manufactured a software product, but also where you purchased it from.
Software Detection
Alloy Discovery recognizes MS Office 2010, MS Office 2013, SQL Server 2014, and latest versions of Adobe’s creative products..
Batch Update for Software Products
Batch Update saves you time by making changes in multiple Software Product records simultaneously.
Attachments
Now you can attach files to Computer and Software Product records – a great way to share and keep track of related documents.
Virtual Machines
Now you can easily identify virtual machines running on a particular host. When you view the details of a computer hosting virtual machines,
they will appear listed on a separate “Virtual Machines” tab.
Latest Audit Tools
This release includes the latest version of Audit Tools that are integral part of Alloy Discovery and Alloy Navigator products. The update brings
your Audit Tools up to the latest version. The package includes Audit Data Viewer and Inventory analyzers for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
