The new Navigator introduces essential AI-assisted features for ITSM/ITAM operations, streamlining tasks that often challenge human agents. Out-of-the-box actions include:

Sleek and searchable sidebar

We’ve completely redesigned the sidebar to make workspace navigation smooth and easily accessible. When collapsed, it transforms into a sleek, narrow strip of module icons, maximizing screen space. Simply hover to reveal your modules and click to access related features effortlessly! Adding links to Favorites is now easier than ever, and the built-in sidebar search ensures you can quickly find the features you need.

Invoices for end-to-end procurement

Available in Alloy Navigator Enterprise only

Now, you can manage the entire procurement cycle in Alloy Navigator! The Purchasing module introduces a new object class—Invoices.

You can create invoices directly within Purchase Orders, track their payment progress, and stay organized. The system comes with a built-in basic workflow that you can easily expand and customize to include key automations, like a tailored approval process to fit your company specific needs.

Merging tickets

Have you ever faced the issue of duplicate tickets from the same problem being reported through different channels? It’s a common challenge! That’s why we’ve introduced the new Merge operation. This feature allows you to consolidate information from a source ticket into a target one, while automatically closing the original. The result? A cleaner, more efficient ticketing system with fewer duplicates and streamlined ticket management.

Massive expansion of the Admin Center

We’ve added a ton of new features to the web-based Admin Center! The latest version goes beyond basic administrative tasks, offering you access to so much more. Now everything you may need is conveniently located in one place, right in your browser, available anytime from anywhere.

And the biggest news? We’ve moved all configuration options for the Web App, Self Service Portal, and API from the Web Configuration tool into the Admin Center. Cloud customers will love this upgrade since they previously lacked access to portal settings. And our on-prem clients? We’re confident they’ll appreciate the new setup, allowing them to manage everything seamlessly from one hub.

Plus, we’ve redesigned the Admin Center for a smoother and more enjoyable experience. Welcome aboard!

View all events in one place

Connect My Calendar in Alloy Navigator with your custom calendars using the iCalendar format! Whether you use Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Microsoft Outlook, this integration brings all your events together in one place.

Bulk tagging

Tagging is now easier than ever! We’ve introduced bulk operations, allowing you to tag multiple items at once. Plus, the tagging operation is now controlled by a dedicated permission, ensuring better management and oversight.

Unified experience across the Web App

We’ve revamped all remaining components—calendars, dashboards, select forms, etc.—by upgrading them to a new engine and refreshing their design.

Support for SSO behind an application gateway

Administrators can now easily configure Single Sign-On for Alloy Navigator applications deployed behind a load balancer or a proxy, such as Microsoft Entra App Proxy.

More customization for form layouts

We’ve added support for custom forms tailored to specific object types. For instance, a Technical Issue incident can now have a distinct form from a Monitoring Event incident, perfectly aligned with your ticket management needs. This update empowers administrators to create unique custom forms for each type, starting with incidents. Additionally, you can benefit from more granular control, as we’ve broken down form layouts into smaller, manageable components for more refined customization.

Enhancements for workflow builders

Available in Alloy Navigator Enterprise only

For those building custom workflows, the latest update delivers compelling enhancements that make creating powerful automations easier than ever.

Bulk copy/paste: Easily copy and paste entire blocks of operations between workflow
items and components. Perfect for reusing design patterns and code snippets!

New flow control operators: Return and Break allow you to terminate functions and exit iteration loops without rolling back already completed operations.

Functions return results: Functions can now return values that you can assign to fields and variables, which simplifies programming and adds even more flexibility.

Context-free functions: These new functions operate outside object context, making them versatile and usable across workflows for different object classes.

When is it coming?

The second release of 2024 is set for this fall. We’re putting on the final touches and fine-tuning a few details—stay tuned, it’s almost here!
